Reading X-Men

So, a while ago I was thinking “What’s the one franchise I would choose if I had to read one thing for the rest of my life and be absorbed by all of the lore, media, and spin-offs?”

I think it’s X-Men.

I did once start reading the comics from the beginning in a Marvel Unlimited free trial but I don’t know how far I got. I do remember being thoroughly invested and entertained. Nostalgic even. There was also an early dash of one of my favourite things about the X-Men: They are so messy and thirsty! Many people know that one diagram that’s a spiderweb of all the X-Men relationships but reading their actual interactions is pretty funny. Yes, I think I can spend the next decade reading all this. Maybe by the time I’m done they’ll nail the casting of Storm for once but I don’t have high hopes.

I’ll come back here for updates.

Also, getting more X-Men in Marvel Rivals is probably what’s keeping me playing because I kind of hate that game.

Used the code NOV2025 and redeemed it at https://mu.marvel.com/redeem to get a free month of Marvel Unlimited. I think I might have had a 7day free trial on another account because I did start Uncanny X-Men 1963 last year. I’ll be following this guide by Crushing Krisis for my reading order this time. I’m usually a stickler for going by release order on things but I’m willing to try something new for now. I’ll be starting from Era #1 so I can quickly get back into Uncanny X-Men and then maybe go back to Era #0. We’ll see how this goes!
